Words
These games are played with letters, and the words are in the language you use the app in: switch the language and the vocabulary switches with it. There is no rush, and a game left halfway is saved so you can pick it up again.
Each one asks for something different. Secret Word is deduction: five letters, six guesses, and colours that tell you what is in the right place. Your first words are there to rule letters out more than to hit the answer, and there is no word of the day, so you can play as many times as you like. Mathle uses the same idea with an equation instead of a word, and every guess has to be a sum that actually works.
Word Ladder asks you to get from one word to another by changing one letter at a time, and every step has to be a real word. Woven Words is more relaxed: a few letters in a circle, a crossword grid to fill, one level after another, with no timer and no penalty for wrong words.
Hangman is the only one you can also play with two. On your own you pick a difficulty and guess words from a list; with two on the same phone, each of you writes a word for the other, and whoever has more points at the end of the match wins.
